CHIP’S ICE CREAM

Branding

The design challenge for the Chip’s Ice Cream branding project involved rebranding an existing ice cream shop, formerly known as Lafayette Creamery, to create a fresh and vibrant identity that reflects the owner’s child, Chip, who inspired the establishment of the shop. The goal was to infuse the brand with a sense of fun, freshness, and modernity while paying homage to its fun childlike roots. By selecting the name “Chip’s” and incorporating vibrant colors and clean typefaces, the rebrand aimed to create a memorable and inviting experience for customers.

Brainstorming sessions generated ideas for the visual identity of Chip’s Ice Cream, including logo concepts, color palettes, and typography. Mockups were created to showcase how the rebrand would look in context, providing a glimpse into the brand’s potential.

The culmination of the branding process resulted in a vibrant and inviting identity for Chip’s Ice Cream. The name “Chip’s” reflects the personal connection to the owner’s child and imbues the brand with a sense of warmth and familiarity. The logo, featuring clean and playful typography, coupled with vibrant colors, evokes a sense of fun and excitement, inviting customers to indulge in a delightful ice cream experience.
